Hi to all, I am an amateur photographer live in great Seattle area. I have study photography for a little more than a year now, my main focus is event, journalist story and product photography. I do praise the artistic style photograph every now and then. But my major focus is more of mainstream.
Before photography, I was study video production. Also have some bases in graphic design and hand drawing.I do have my passion in video, I give it up because it's something too rich for me to pursue, if take more than everyone think to produce a decent quality film or video. In contrast, photography is much easier subject.
I believe Photography is all about lighting, with either artificial or ambient light. Stunning scene make stunning photograph, everybody can take great photography if it's the right movement. That's why people think photography was a no brainer, and it's all about the equipment you have.
Don't get me wrong, you can't produce publish quality with your cellphone camera. But what set photographer apart from idiot with nice camera is the ability to control, manipulate and redirect light.
I have no grudge with people heavily Photoshop their photo. In digital age editing became part of study. You just need to draw the line of photo and graphic.
